Founded in 1988, The Institute for Neuropsychiatry provides a broad range of psychiatric and mental health services for clients in Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas. Our services include depression and anxiety treatment, individual and family therapy, women's mental health services, geriatric psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and alcohol and substance abuse treatment, on an in-patient and out-patient basis.
Our staff of caring mental health professionals includes: six highly trained psychiatrists; a Nurse Practitioner; a PhD in psychology and licensed masters level therapists, social workers and counselors. We have physicians who specialize in Adult, Geriatric, Child and Adolescent psychiatry, and Women's mental health. All of our physicians are on the staff of Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
The Institute provides Medical Director services to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital Recovery Center, Bridgeway Psychiatric Program, and the Southwest Developmental Center. Our physicians also provide psychiatric educational training for the Louisiana State University Medical School Residency Program at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
