She is currently serving as Co-Medical Director for the Psychiatric Services at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in psychiatric advanced practice nursing; a master's degree in nursing and a master's degree in psychology from McNeese State University and a baccalaureate degree in nursing from West Texas State University. Additionally, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has been in practice since 1988. Dr. Dilks is the coordinator of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program at McNeese State University's graduate nursing department. He served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at McNeese State University in Lake Charles from 1981-2007. At the Institute, Dr. Whiteman provides psychological evaluations as well as individual, group and family therapy. At the Institute, he is a Clinical Manager in the Mental Health Rehabilitation Program, and is also in private practice.
